The original building on this site from the late 1800's was a community center and garage for the volunteer fire department's pump wagon (see photo). In the early 1900's the building was renovated to it's current size and structure which include the current day businesses Joe's Bar and two smaller retail storefronts. The date of the first bar on this site is lost in antiquity, but from various sources we know that this building has housed Bill's Country Club, Mike and ... ? Cocktails, Anderson's Commission Store, a blacksmith, a bakery, and others. Prior to 1977 Joe's was owned by Lucille and Joe Kamisha who gave the bar it's current name. In 1977 Karin Ann Park joined her uncle David in owning the bar. Karin Ann eventually became the sole owner for an outstanding 38 years. And on June 1st, 2015 ownership passed into the hands of Diane and Gina.
